London Edition: Byron’s Proper Burgers

Leave it to an American to open one of Britain’s best burger chains.

The founder, Tom Byng, opened the first Byron’s in 2007 and Londoners soon realized just how good a hamburger could be. Now there are burger joints popping up all over London, including America’s unstoppable Shake Shack, but the Byron restaurants haven’t wavered.

Thick, juicy meat is paired with classic and non-classic toppings. The bacon cheeseburger is one of the best I’ve ever had. And the light, loud, beer-fueled atmosphere make it a fun spot to eat on a weekend.

Delicious, well priced, and fun.
